Sherlock

A modern reimagining of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's classic detective stories, set in 21st-century London. Sherlock Holmes is a brilliant, rude, self-described "high-functioning sociopath" who solves baffling crimes for Scotland Yard. He's joined by Dr. John Watson, a former army doctor whose blog about their cases makes them both famous. The show is stylish, fast, and visually inventive. For English learners: C1 level. Clear British English (RP and Estuary), but Sherlock speaks at extremely high speed with sophisticated vocabulary, scientific terms, and dense logical reasoning. Watson is much easier to follow. Excellent challenge for advanced learners targeting native-speed British English.
